Acknowledgement of Donetsk and Lugansk Election Results is Under Question - the Number of Violations is Overwhelming

Elections in Donetsk and Lugansk may be acknowledged invalid.

Gazeta.ua reports that the vice head of the Strike election HQ Volodymyr Kurennyy noted that "We can talk about the invalidity of elections in whole districts of Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts since the number of violations was overwhelming."

In particular he noted the violations in districts 42, 43, 45, 46, and 49.

Kurennoy also said that in еруыу areas еруку were various types of violations - "carousels", bribery, intimidation of observers and opposition members of the commissions. He added that the Strike had a parallel vote count with 52% of the districts already processed.

Strike was also surprised by a high level of support in the South of Ukraine.

"The Party has a balanced support throughout Ukraine. We can talk about the emergence of a new party in Ukraine with support throughout the country. In several Odessa districts our support reached 25%," explained Kurennoy.

He assured that the support for the Strike is stable throughout Ukraine, except for Donetsk and Lugansk. However, he noted that no expert can state what was the will of the Ukrainians in these areas.
