In a Year Azarov Squandered 23% of Gold and Foreign Currency Reserves of Ukraine

In December 2012, foreign currency reserves of the National Bank of Ukraine decreased by U.S. $ 830.7 million and as of 31 December constituted 24.55 billion dollars.


NBN reports that according to the report, only the 2012 international reserves of the National Bank of Ukraine decreased by $ 7.25 billion (22.8%), from $ 31.79 billion to $ 24.55 billion. As it was reported earlier, in November 2012 the NBU international reserves decreased by 5.5% (1.46 billion) and constituted 25.355 billion dollars.

Note that IMF experts forecast a decline of the NBU reserves to 24 billion dollars by the end of 2012 and the tendency to decrease in 2013-2014.
