Heavy Artillery was used in Violent Battle Near Donetsk at Night. All Basements and Bomb Shelters Were Opened in the City - City Council

In Donetsk, the night of July 12 was anxious, especially for residents of Petrovskyi and Kirov districts.

It was reported by Censor.NET, citing the official website of Mayor Olexander Lukianchenko.

"Heavy artillery was used in the night battle in the town of Marinka. Because of the risk of combat operations, we alerted the residents of Petrovskyi district at 4 AM and opened all basements and bomb shelters in the district. Fortunately, they did not come in handy," the Mayor's office informed.

The shooting sounds were also heard in Kuibyshev, Kirov and Kalinin districts.

"The situation in Donetsk stabilized by 9 AM. Life support systems, public transport and trading network of the city function in a normal mode, " added the City Council.
