OSCE and UN Calls the Urgent Meeting Regarding of the Shot Down of the Boeing 777

The Organization for the Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) convenes an emergency meeting of its Standing Committee after the shot down of aircraft in the Donetsk region.

This information appeared on the OSCE Twitter, Censor.NET informs.

"Special OSCE Permanent Council meeting today at 12.30 CEST (13.30 Kyiv time) on Ukraine latest," the message says.

Meeting will be held in the headquarters of the OSCE in the Hofsburg (Vienna).

Moreover, today will be the meeting of the Security Council of the UN, which will start at 17.00 (Kyiv time).

As it was reported earlier, the Boeing 777 with 298 people aboard fell from the sky near the town of Torez in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine. According to Malaysia Airlines, 283 adult passengers were killed in a plane crash. The contact with the aircraft was lost around 4.20 pm local time.

On the same day, around 4.50 pm. a message from terrorists' leader Igor Girkin appeared in the social network. He boasted that ​​his "soldiers" in the Torrez area shot down another AN-26 of the Ukrainian army. The Malaysia Airlines aircraft crashed exactly near Torez.
