Donbas Terrorists do not Represent the People of Ukraine. They will not Survive without Russia’s Support – UN Official

The terrorists operating in eastern Ukraine do not represent the people of Ukraine; they came to the territory of the state from the outside.

This was stated by UN Under-Secretary-General Jeffrey Feltman during an emergency meeting of the UN, Censor.NET reports.

He said that the Russian side constantly insists that the Ukrainians are conflicting in the Donbas. But the United Nations has information that it is not the Ukrainian people but "people who have come from the outside." He also noted that there are proven facts that Russia supports the separatists by arming them.

"These people do not represent the people of Ukraine. Without Russian support they will not survive," he said.

Feldman also urged Russia to abandon the support of the terrorists. He emphasized the fact that the responsibility for the crash of the Malaysian Boeing lies on the terrorists as well as those who support them.

"We must demand that the separatists lay down their arms," he added.

At the same time the U.S. representative to the UN Security Council said that the U.S. has information that the Russian Federation provides the terrorists with heavy military equipment.
