Poroshenko Submitted for approval by the Parliament a Decree "On partial mobilization"

Under the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, President Petro Poroshenko submitted for approval by the Parliament a Decree "On partial mobilization". Президент Петр Порошенко подал в Верховную Раду законопроект об утверждении указа "О частичной мобилизации".

Under the document, partial mobilization is declared "due to the spread of terrorism in Ukraine which leads to the death of civilians, servicemen, workers of military and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine in eastern regions of the state, the concentration of troops (forces) with significant offensive potential on the territory of the Russian Federation near the state border of Ukraine, the threat of attack, the danger to the state independence of Ukraine with the purpose of ensuring the defense of the state under the proposal of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine".

Conscription of those liable for military service, reservists, and the supply of transport vehicles for the needs of the militaries will be conducted in amounts specified by mobilization plans taking into account the reserve.
