Crimea to Be Disconnected from Power Supply Every 6 Hours on a Daily Basis
Ukrainian state-owned company "Ukrenergo" for the period from 2 until 30 September restricts the power supply from the mainland, according to Ukrayinska Pravda.
As noted, every 6 hours on a daily basis the power supply to Crimea will be completely stopped.
"We received an official letter from Kyiv: a formal limit is introduced for us, a zero flow from 9 to 11 am and from 19 to 23 pm daily from 2 to 30 September," - said the agency representative.
During this period, local generation in Crimea will be highly important for the peninsular to avoid major accidents.
Austrian company Activ Solar has constructed an estimated 407 MW of solar capacity in Crimea, 227 MW of which has been connected to the grid. The total solar energy capacity in Crimea will cover almost 7% of the peninsula electricity needs.
