Special Regime May Be Introduced on Territories Adjacent to the ATO Area - Poroshenko

He said this at the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet on Wednesday, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainian Pravda

"I do not deny that we will have to implement a special regime of stay for citizens in the areas neighboring the anti-terrorist operation geography in the nearest future."

In addition, Poroshenko noted the need to fortify the border with Russia.

"If we cannot do without Mannerheim line we need to build such fortifications, but even more powerful, considering the predecessors' experience."

He drew attention to the fact that it should not be fortifications of 41-42 years of the last century design, but modern defensive structures.

"It should be a deep defense with tank positions, means of protection against multiple launch rocket systems attacks, modern communication and detailed coordination of all the departments involved in the ATO as well as special area that will allow using weapons efficiently," Poroshenko said.
