A member of the 54th separate mechanized brigade Serhii Serhienko died of severe shrapnel wounds he received in Russian mercenaries’ mortar strike that blanketed the Ukrainian troops’ positions at Svitlodarsk salient Jan. 22.
As reported by Censor.NET citing activist Oleksii Romanov, Serhienko, born in 1988, was a resident of Novoavramivka village in the Poltava region.
"Terrible news came to Novoavramivka today. A resident of the village, a volunteer soldier Serhii Serhienko was killed in Ukraine’s east. May the memory of the hero live forever! May he rest in peace!" Romanov wrote on social media.
