Police say filmmaker Kanter captured own death on camera: footage confirms it was suicide

Spokesperson for the National Police Yaroslav Trakalo told LIGA.net media outlet, Censor.NET reports.
According to the police official, the footage confirms that the filmmaker committed a suicide.
"This entire process was captured on camera," Trakalo said.
According to him, the footage was entered into the case file, the weapon was seized.
Asked whether the firearm which the filmmaker shot himself with can be seen on the footage, Trakalo said: "I did not see the video but the experts concluded that it was a suicide."
Trakalo added that the firearm was sent for examination. Kanter's body was found by his friend who immediately called the police.
As reported, famous filmmaker, producer, traveler and writer Leonid Kanter was found dead in the hamlet of Obyrok in the Borzna municipality of the Chernihiv region late on June 4. His most famous works include The Cyborgs movie about defenders of the Donetsk airport and a documentary about opera singer Vasyl Slipak who was killed in action in the Donbas.
