Petro Poroshenko Bloc nominates MP Friz for Veterans Affairs Minister

Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction (PPB) supported nomination of its member Iryna Friz for the post of the Minister for Veterans Affairs.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the press service of the political party.

"At its meeting, PPB faction unanimously supported candidacy of BPP faction member, Chairperson of the subcommittee on the security of state information systems of the Verkhovna Rada’s National Security and Defense Committee, the head of the parliamentary delegation to NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Iryna Friz for the post of the Minister for Veterans Affairs," the statement reads.

On Feb. 27, 2018, the Verkhovna Rada proposed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to create a Ministry for Veterans Affairs. The government initiated creation of the ministry in late March.
