One Ukrainian soldier killed, four wounded on Sunday amid 22 attacks by Russian proxies, - JFO center

As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the Joint forces operation (JFO) headquarters press center as of June 24, 2018, the Russian mercenaries fired upon the Ukrainian troops with 122-mm artillery, 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms in the vicinity of Krymske village (Luhansk section of the contact line) and committed attacks with grenade launchers and heavy machine guns near Luhanske and Novozvanivka.

At Donetsk section of the forefront, the defenders of Marinka, Avdiivka and Kamianka came under enemy fire.

In Mariupol direction, the fiercest attacks were recorded in Vodiane where the Russian mercenaries employed barrel artillery, 82-mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers, and small arms against the Ukrainian forces. Positions near Lebedynske village were bombarded with the tank armament and 122-mm cannons. Hostilities were also underway on the outskirts of Bohdanivka, Hnutove and Shyrokyne.

"The Russian occupation forces committed 22 attacks on our positions over the past day including 10 strikes with weapons banned by the Minsk accords. The JFO units prevented the enemy from gaining tactical superiority by maintaining active defense and responding adequately to the enemy attacks.

"One of our defenders was killed and four more servicemen were injured in action," the situation report reads.

The JFO HQ also said that today, June 25, the enemy used small arms three times to invite retaliation of the Ukrainian troops deployed near Marinka (Donetsk direction), Hnutove and Shyrokyne (Mariupol direction).

"The enemy inflicted no casualties on our military personnel today," the report reads.
