Owners of cars with foreign registration plates are holding rally in Kyiv’s government quarter demanding the adoption of bills No. 8487 and 8488, which cut the customs clearance rates for imported cars.

Owners of cars with foreign registration plates have been blocking the government quarter in downtown Kyiv since the morning. Activists blocked one lane on Hrushevskoho Street and also completely blocked Shovkovychna Street up to its intersection with Instytutska Street.

The rally participants also gathered on Ploshcha Konstytutsii Square outside the building of the Ukrainian parliament. They put out banners with their demands and portraits of lawmakers who voted against the bills introducing affordable customs clearance rates for their cars.
