"Over 17,000 conscripts drafted into Ukrainian army, 98 percent of planned number,"- Defense Ministry on recent draft

Conscription for compulsory military service has been almost completed in Ukraine.

"In accordance with the decree issued by the president of Ukraine, the conscription for compulsory military service has been almost completed," Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Artur Artemenko told a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"Conscription commissions directed over 17,000 conscripts to the troops, which makes up 98 percent of the plan. Others will be drafted in line with the schedule during the current week," Artemenko said.
