Suprun: Court's decision on my suspension blocks delivery of vital drugs and vaccines to health facilities

Kyiv Administrative Court’s decision on suspension of Uliana Suprun from performing her duties as a health minister blocks the delivery of vital drugs and vaccines.

Censor.NET reports referring to Uliana Suprun’s Facebook page.

"Nothing unites Ukrainian society more than the protection of changes in the medical sphere. I want to thank all people, NGOs, doctors, associations and MPs, who supported our team yesterday," the message reads.

Suprun mentioned that the changes that her team has managed to achieve are now under threat. However, the Ministry of Health team is faced with a number of very specific problems and questions: "How do we deliver medications purchased for more than UAH 633 million of taxpayers’ money from the Health Ministry warehouses to the regions and health facilities? The distribution of medications is made under the minister’s instructions," said Suprun.

She also mentioned that timely purchases and medications supply at the expense of this year’s budget are also under threat.

"The delayed delivery times will leave thousands of people without treatment. It is about safety, health and lives of millions of people. Today I am returning to Ukraine from a business trip to the U.S., which was canceled due to the judge Karakashian’s decision. We have to restore the Ministry’s work as soon as possible," Suprun concluded.

As reported earlier, Radical Party leader Oleh Liashko said that Kyiv’s administrative court suspended Suprun from performing her health minister duties.
