Debates at Olimpiiskyi: Over 20 foreign TV channels to broadcast event

Presidential debates on UA:PBC and debates at Olimpiiskyi stadium will have an open signal which all the TV channels can catch, as Zurab Alasania, the Chairman of the Board of National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine. Over 20 foreign TV channels will broadcast the debates at the stadium.
"The signal will be opened. Over 20 foreign TV channels will broadcast it. There will be signals from the stadium and from UA:PBC. All the TV channels can easily catch it," Alasania said.
Yet there are still some difficulties with the broadcast from the stadium – such debates are considered as political campaigning and have to be paid by the headquarters of the candidates.
"We are not sure they can get away with this. Foreign ones – yes, and ours – doubtful. The law reads only about the signal of the official debates. It should be done for free. Public discussion at the stadium is still under the question. What do channels risk? For instance, fees from the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting or from the Central Election Commission," Alasania said.
