"Ukraine has to take the lead in the global food market. And it is for this purpose, that the government announces a new food policy, with aims to capture foreign markets and supply our own food to Ukraine's domestic market," he said.

"We should export, not import," Yatseniuk said.
According to him, one of the priorities of the Cabinet is the development of small and medium-sized businesses in rural areas.
"The government introduces a bill on local agricultural markets to the Parliament. Small businesses in rural areas should receive appropriate local agricultural markets to sell their products and meet the needs in Ukraine, and [they shall have] interest rates compensation mechanisms for small farms to work, purchase agricultural machinery and oil and lubricants," Yatseniuk said.
