Chernivtsi appeal court deputy head detained for soliciting $15,000 bribe - SBU. PHOTOS
The Security Service of Ukraine together with the Prosecutor General's Office arrested the deputy head of Chernivtsi appeal court on suspicion of extortion.
Censor.NET reports citing the SBU press center.
According to the report, the judge demanded $15,000 from a colleague - a district court judge, who was accused of perversion of justice.
The law enforcers detained the appeal court judge in his office during receipt of the bribe in the amount of $5,000.
The investigation is under way as part of the criminal proceeding initiated by the Part 4 of the Article 368 of the Criminal Code (bribery).
