Group of 40 terrorists detained in Odesa, lots of weapons and explosives seized - Poroshenko
The Police and Security Service of Ukraine conducted an overnight operation to detain a large group of terrorists.
President Poroshenko announced that the detention took place at night of March 9, Censor.NET informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"A huge terrorist organization was neutralized yesterday night - more than 40 terrorists were detained. Hundreds of weapons, dozens of kilograms of explosives, rocket launchers, grenades, plans for terrorist operations were seized," Poroshenko told journalists on Friday at the presentation of the State Program for Reforming the Internal Affairs Bodies in Odesa.
A source in the law enforcement agencies confirmed that a large group of saboteurs was arrested overnight. Thus, he said, the total number of recently detained persons came close to a hundred people.
