1,132 objects of cultural heritage were damaged as result of Russian aggression in Ukraine

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression in Ukraine, 1,132 objects of cultural heritage have been destroyed or damaged

"The ICRC continues to record damage to cultural infrastructure objects in Ukraine as a result of Russian aggression. 1,132 objects of cultural infrastructure were damaged, not including monuments of cultural heritage. Almost a third of them - 403 objects were completely destroyed," the message says.
Cultural infrastructure suffered the greatest losses and damages in Donetsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Kherson regions.
Club establishments were the most affected. This is 47% of the total number of cultural infrastructure institutions that suffered losses.
In total, 532 clubs, 431 libraries, 61 museums and galleries, 17 theaters and philharmonic halls, 91 art education institutions were affected.
