Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets intends to hold a meeting with Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova in January to discuss possibility of releasing civilians from Russian captivity.

It was informed by Censor.NЕТ referring to Interax-Ukraine.

"This month we will have a meeting with Moskalkova, where we will discuss the issue of releasing civilians separately. There are many options developed by our side, but, again, we do not know whether the Russian Federation will agree to this," Lubinets said.

At the same time, the Ombudsman stressed that the Ukrainian authorities are currently paying "special attention to the release of civilians".

"I would like to note that the Ukrainian state does not abandon attempts to return, in particular, civilians. The problem is not in us, but in the Russian Federation. Because the Russian Federation now wants a separate platform for civilians. We will agree on this," Lubinets added.
