Georgian businessman Tamaz Somkhishvili, who demanded compensation of 98.5 million from the Kyiv City State Administration and the Cabinet of Ministers for the termination of the investment agreement on the reconstruction of Kharkiv Square in Kyiv, is a citizen of the Russian Federation and a co-founder of the Russian-Georgian enterprise "NPK Sturmovyki Sukhoi," engaged in repairs Russian SU combat aircraft.

As Censor.NET informs, RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the ZN article.

According to the article, the statements of Somkhishvili's lawyers that the entrepreneur has not lived in Russia for 14 years are not valid. The documents discovered by the journalist indicate that the entrepreneur had several addresses of registration and residence in the Russian Federation and, in particular, in Moscow, from 1995 to 2022.

"The claim that Mr. Somkhishvili has not been in Russia for the past 14 years seems to contradict the dates in the mentioned documents. In particular, the date of issuance of his foreign passport is 2012, i.e., ten years ago, and the dates of registration in Moscow - are in 2018 and 2021. It is clear that to obtain registration in Moscow, personal presence and a valid Russian passport are required. We see that both the first and the second happened," the article says.

In addition, Somhishvili received a British passport after marrying a citizen of this country in 2007, as evidenced by relevant documents of the Russian FMS.

At the same time, through the TAM Management company, whose board includes his son George, Somhishvili controls the Tbilisi Aviation Plant (Joint Stock Company Tbilaviamsheni). According to the data of the Russian registers, this enterprise is closely connected with the Russian military-industrial complex. It is engaged in the repair of combat aircraft of the aggressor country.

"The plant has a representative office in Moscow, and not only does it have - it is a co-founder of Sukhoi Assault Aircraft Company LLC, which is engaged in the repair of fighters and attack aircraft for the Russian army. Sukhoi Land Assault Company has 11 state contracts for repairing aircraft equipment in the Russian Federation and wins most of the tenders. The main customer of Sukhoi Land Assault Company LLC is the Russian state enterprise 121 Aviation Repair Plant, which is the flagship of Russian military aircraft repair and is engaged in the modernization of Su and MiG fighters - one of the main striking forces of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine," the investigation states.

In connection with the above, the National Security Council and the Security Service of Ukraine call to deal with this situation and take appropriate actions against the entrepreneur.
