Russian ground, air and sea-based nuclear warheads are currently deployed in temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was stated by the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andrii Cherniak in a comment to Ukrinform, informs Censor.NЕТ.

He noted that Ukrainian military intelligence monitors the movements of Russia's nuclear weapons, in particular of the tactical level, and knows where they are located.

"Military intelligence sees that carriers of ground, air and sea-based nuclear munitions are currently deployed on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. These are ships, submarines, aircraft and ground-based systems that can strike with nuclear warheads. Potentially, Russia has such an opportunity," Cherniak said.

The representative of the military intelligence added that the occupants carried out certain works at the Feodosia-13 facility in the village of Krasnokamianka to prepare it for the storage of nuclear warheads. However, it is currently unknown whether these works are completed.

Speaking about the risks of a nuclear strike by Russia, the representative of the military intelligence noted that "the occupying country is capable of anything".

"However, we hope that the international community will be able to influence the leadership of the invaders in order not to lead the world to a nuclear catastrophe. Ukraine also takes into account various options for the events development", - Andrii Cherniak emphasized.
