Austin opened meeting in Ramstein format: "This is decisive moment for Ukraine and whole world"
The eighth meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine began at the American Ramstein Air Base in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

"We, 50 states, are determined to support Ukraine as much as necessary... Putin did not count on the determination of Ukraine, ... and us. This is a decisive moment for Ukraine and the whole world," said the presiding minister at the opening of the meeting Defense of the United States Lloyd Austin.
The heads of defense departments of about 50 countries, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Army, General Mark Milley, and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, are taking part in the meeting.
Those present honored the memory of the victims of the helicopter crash in Brovary.
