Against the background of a full-scale war in Ukraine, the heads of foreign affairs of the countries of the Group of Seven (G7) announced the strengthening of sanctions against Russia and states that materially support aggression.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Krym.Realii.

It is noted that the ministers in Munich, where the security conference is taking place, agreed to continue supporting Ukraine and increase the sanctions pressure on Russia.

In addition, they will also call on third countries to stop providing aid to the Russian Federation, otherwise, they will face "big costs".

The countries of the "Group of Seven" also criticized the nuclear threats of the Russian authorities.

"Russia's irresponsible nuclear rhetoric is unacceptable, and any use of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons will lead to severe consequences," said Japanese Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa, chairing the G7 foreign ministers' meeting.

The members of the "Group of Seven" also confirmed their "unwavering solidarity" with Ukraine and condemned the ongoing Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilians and infrastructure facilities.
