Enemy is conducting offensive operations in Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, - General Staff
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 6:00 p.m. on February 19, 2023.
As Censor.NET informs, this was announced on the official Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
In the evening summary, it is noted: "During the day, the enemy launched 9 rockets and 11 air strikes. It launched more than 20 attacks from rocket salvo systems. There are wounded and dead among the civilian population.
The threat of strikes by the Russian Federation remains high throughout the territory of Ukraine.
The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions.
No signs of the formation of offensive groups of the enemy were detected in the Volyn, Polissia, Siversk, and Slobozhansk directions. The enemy maintains a military presence, and training of units of Russian troops continues on the training grounds of the Republic of Belarus. During the day, areas of Karpovychi, Tymonovychi, and Yanzhulivka settlements of the Chernihiv region were subjected to enemy shelling; Atynske, Stukalyvka and Zapsilya in the Sumy region, as well as Strelecha, Staritsa, Vovchanski Khutory, and Stroivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy shelled the settlements of Kamianka, Dvorichna, Hrianikyvka, Kupiansk, Berestove, and Pershotravneve of the Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Dibrova, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Bilohorivka and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
In the direction of Bakhmut, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Ivanovske, Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultine, Kurdiumivka, Mayorsk, and New York came under fire. In addition, the enemy used army aviation to launch a strike in the Bakhmut area.
Vesele, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Mariinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Shakhtarske, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka and Neskuchne of the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire in the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the areas of the settlements of Novosilka in the Donetsk region and Poltavka, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Charivne, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka and Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhia were hit by fire.
In the Kherson direction, Kherson, Burhunka, Tyahinka, Antonivka of the Kherson region, as well as Ochakiv - Mykolaiv region were hit by enemy artillery fire. Peaceful people suffered.
In the village of Kalanchak, Kherson region, the Russian occupiers set up another military hospital, in the central hospital. It is known that citizens of Ukraine who live there are denied medical care in the said institution. The hospital became a kind of "hub" for wounded and dead occupiers. Over fifty wounded and killed invaders were brought to the medical facility only the other day.
In the temporarily captured settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian occupation administration continues to exert pressure on the local population, in particular, on Ukrainian children. So, in the schools of the city of Tokmak, students are forced to sing the anthem of the aggressor country before the start of classes. Also, schoolchildren are forced to make postcards for the anniversary of the large-scale invasion with words of support and gratitude to the Russian invaders who invaded our land.
During the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces made 20 strikes on areas where the occupiers were concentrated, 7 on anti-aircraft missile systems at firing positions, and 2 strikes on important enemy facilities.
During the day, our defenders shot down an enemy Su-25 aircraft, 2 Orlan-10 type unmanned aerial vehicles and a Lancet-3 kamikaze drone.
And units of rocket forces and artillery hit the enemy with a battery of rocket systems of salvo fire."
