President Joe Biden, who is on a visit to Kyiv, emphasized that he is meeting with Zelensky for an extended discussion on support for Ukraine.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press service of the White House.

"As the world prepares to mark the anniversary of Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine, I am in Kyiv today to meet with President Zelensky and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to Ukraine's democracy, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

When Putin launched the invasion almost a year ago, he believed that Ukraine was weak and the West was divided. He thought he could survive us. But he was deeply mistaken," the US president said in a statement.

According to Biden, today he is meeting with Zelensky for an extended discussion on support for Ukraine.

"I will announce another delivery of critical equipment, including artillery ammunition, anti-tank systems, and air surveillance radars, to help protect the Ukrainian people from aerial bombardment. ...Also later this week, we will announce additional sanctions against elites and companies that try to circumvent sanctions or support the Russian war machine. Over the past year, the United States has created a coalition of countries from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean to help protect Ukraine by providing unprecedented military, economic and humanitarian support - and this support will continue," the American leader emphasized.

"I also look forward to traveling to Poland to meet with President Duda and the leaders of our allies on the Eastern flank, and to provide remarks on how the United States will continue to bring the world together in support of the people of Ukraine," Biden added.

As reported, on February 20, US President Joe Biden arrived in Kyiv with an unannounced visit.
