East Front: Russia’s situation is "not very good", old equipment appears on battlefield - Ukrainian Armed Forces

This was stated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine spokesman Serhiy Cherevaty during the telethon, informs Censor.NЕТ referring to LeagueBusinessInform.
"Unfortunately, they still have something to fight with, but the quality of these weapons is different from what they started the conflict with. When they started [the full-scale war], they were able to accumulate a certain list of weapons that were even somewhat newer than the Soviet ones, although they were also based on Soviet developments," Cherevaty said.
He noted that these include BTR-82 armored personnel carriers with a cannon instead of a machine gun, modernized T-72 or T-90 tanks, but Russia did not have many of them initially, and various armored vehicles such as Tiger and Typhoon.
"This is not the case now. We see that even BMP-1s, which have been decommissioned, have already appeared on the battlefield. T-62 tanks are appearing, which have also been out of service for a long time or in long-term storage bases. So they are not doing very well with this either," said the Armed Forces spokesman.
According to him, the Russians still have enough ammunition, but they "cannot afford such a luxury" as in the summer, when they fired at Ukrainian positions along the entire front line around the clock. Currently, the occupants are already concentrating fire in certain areas.
He emphasized that Bakhmut and Lyman remain the main areas of Russian attacks. There, despite the losses, the Russians are trying to achieve "at least some advantages".
Over the past day, there were 33 combat engagements in the Bakhmut sector, during which Ukrainian forces killed 212 occupants and wounded 214 Russians.
Commenting on the situation in the area of Kreminna and Svatove, Cherevaty said that Russians there are trying to counterattack and are intensifying artillery fire. In this area, the Russian army fired 235 times from multiple launch rocket systems and cannon artillery over the last day. There were also 10 clashes, during which 103 occupants were killed and 74 others were wounded.
