The FSS of Russia announced the detention of two residents of Sevastopol, allegedly recruited by the special services of Ukraine as "gunners at military facilities."

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Krym.Realii.

According to the version of the Russian special service, two residents of Sevastopol, born in 1979 and 1995, "initiatively established contact with the special services of Ukraine in order to transfer data for a monetary reward on the location of objects of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the leakage of which abroad could harm the state's defense capabilities."

"A man born in 1979 performed the intelligence tasks of the Security Service of Ukraine to collect information on the location of military facilities and transmitted this information via e-mail in compliance with conspiracy measures. The second suspect confirmed his intentions of confidential cooperation with the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine in a telephone conversation, but he did not have time to transfer the data due to circumstances beyond his control," the FSS of Russia said.

Russian special services reported the initiation of a criminal case under Art. 275 "Treason" and Art. 275.1 "Cooperation on a confidential basis with a foreign state" of the Criminal Code of Russia. The sanction of the first article provides up to 20 years of imprisonment, the second - up to 8 years. The suspect was remanded in custody for two months.
