The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vui, stated that his country did not transfer any Serbian weapons or ammunition to either Ukraine or Russia.

He said this on the sidelines of the UN conference on the least developed countries in Qatar, reports the Serbian publication DanasCensor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.

"For Serbia, according to international law, there are so-called "permitted consumers" and Serbia can export (weapons and ammunition - ed.) only to such countries. We did everything according to the law, we are as clean as a tear," said Vucic .

Regarding information from the Russian Federation about the alleged export of Serbian weapons to Ukraine through Turkey, he noted that in this case the Serbian government took additional precautionary measures.

"We added to the terms of the contract that without our consent it is impossible to export the ammunition that we handed over to Turkey," Vučić noted.

Before that, information appeared on social networks that Serbia could transfer to Ukraine ammunition for the Grad rocket launcher systems. They were allegedly sold to a third country, and from there they got to Ukraine via Slovakia and Turkey. The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed "deep concern" and called on Serbia to provide an explanation.

The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia rejected the accusations of the Russians, saying that their country did not transfer any ammunition to Ukraine.
