Keeping Bakhmut is important for several reasons, one of which is informational and psychological - Cherevaty

Bakhmut must be contained because it exerts informational and psychological pressure on the enemy. In addition, the occupiers lose their best units there.
Serhii Cherevaty, the spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET reports.
The defense of Bakhmut, according to Cherevaty, is important for several reasons: "There are several aspects here, starting with the military: the enemy is bleeding there, his best units are knocked out. And also moral, because the so-called "second army of the world" cannot take the district center, it is very a powerful informational and psychological factor on their commanders and military personnel, who understand that they are simply commanded incompetently."
He described the current situation in Bakhmut as follows: "The enemy is trying to carry out offensive actions in the future in the Kupyansk-Limansk and Bakhmut directions, Bakhmut is the main place of his attack. Only this day in the area of Zalizniansk, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut itself, Ivanivsky, enemy tried to carry out assault actions, carried out 188 shellings with barrel and rocket artillery, 57 clashes took place in this direction."
According to him, there were 20 shellings and 23 clashes in the Bakhmut area. The enemy lost 191 servicemen killed, 319 wounded only in the Bakhmut direction.
"There were also 347 shellings on the Kupyansk-Lymansk direction, this direction is a "record holder" for the enemy's use of artillery and rocket salvo systems, there were five air strikes, 35 enemies were killed, 55 were wounded. We have also been observing efforts there for several weeks to use armored vehicles, which are relatively destroyed, and this day was no exception: two T-72 tanks and two BMP-2 tanks were knocked out," Cherevaty said.
The fighting for Bakhmut has been going on since last August. In the past day alone, 128 shellings and 41 combat clashes took place. According to various estimates, the invaders lost between 20,000 and 30,000 people during their attempts to capture the city.
