UOC (MP) priest who beat a soldier in Khmelnytskyi is wanted - Interior Ministry
A priest of Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), Ihor Slobodian, who beat a soldier in Khmelnytskyi’s Holy Intercession Cathedral, has been put on wanted list.
As informs Censor.NЕТ, the relevant notice was published on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Slobodian is wanted as a fugitive from pre-trial investigation. He is wanted under Part 1 of Article 125 (intentional light bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As Censor.NЕТ reported earlier on April 2, a priest of the UOC-MP beat a soldier in a church in Khmelnytskyi.
In the evening of the same day, about 500 people gathered in front of this church in Khmelnytskyi.
During this demonstration near the cathedral, a majority of the people voted in favor of the transition of the Holy Protection Cathedral of the UOC-MP to the OCU.
