Occupiers are shelling mined territories of Kherson region in order to cause detonation, - Humeniuk

The Russian army is trying to cause maximum damage to the Kherson region. Therefore, the occupiers are shelling mined areas and objects that they consider to be the potential of the region.
This was stated by the spokeswoman of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine Natalia Humeniuk on the air of the telethon,Censor.NET informs with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
She noted that the Russians are shelling industrial facilities, agricultural lands, where there are mined territories, this leads to detonation.
"They are trying to drop air bombs as a psychological pressure of terrorists when it is just at the intersection of city roads, where the maximum damage to residential buildings is around," Humeniuk said.
The spokeswoman added that on the eve of Easter, the occupiers intensified their shelling. A characteristic feature of attacks are strikes on social infrastructure objects. Hospitals, school buildings, farm buildings, and private homes have been damaged in recent days in the Kherson region.
According to Humeniuk, the Russians still fear for their aviation. Therefore, they do not approach the zone of action of Ukrainian air defense but release guided aerial bombs.
"Guided air bombs can still reach a distance of 50-70 km, which is why the front-line, border areas are suffering. And we warned about this since our countermeasures can currently be effective, but inappropriate if we counter each bomb with those means of air defense.
That is why the best system of countermeasures now remains the transition to shelter and saving people's lives by evacuating from those areas," Humeniuk stressed.
