Occupiers destroyed or damaged more than 550 objects of cultural heritage

In Ukraine, there are more than 130,000 objects of cultural heritage on the state register, at the same time, more than 550 objects were destroyed or damaged as a result of Russian aggression.

This was announced by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.

"More than 550 - that's how many monuments and objects of cultural heritage have been destroyed or damaged by the occupiers. The war continues, so every day we record new destruction. And, unfortunately, every loss of every one of our cultural monuments is a loss for world heritage." , - noted Tkachenko.

According to the report, 109,930 monuments of cultural heritage are currently under state protection.

"Cultural heritage is a key element of the identification of the Ukrainian nation and a factor of Ukraine's national security," the head of the ministry noted.

In particular, according to the type of archeology, 57,545 objects were entered into the state register or entered into the state register (of which 2,150 are national; 55,395 are local).

It is noted that the total number of historical monuments is 30,128, of which 182 are of national importance, 29,946 are of local importance; there are 15,773 monuments of architecture and urban planning; monuments of monumental art - 1,868; there are 179 objects of garden and park art monuments; landscape - 197; 108 monuments of science and technology.

In addition, 18,850 newly discovered objects of cultural heritage are under protection. Thus, the total number of cultural heritage objects is 128,780.
