Preparations for counterattack are coming to end. In global sense, we are ready, - Reznikov

The Defence Forces are in the final stages of preparing for a counter-offensive.
According to Censor.NET, citing Ukrinform, Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said this at a press conference.
"The preparations are coming to an end, because in addition to weapons and military equipment, our military personnel must also master them. And we have received very modern systems... Let me remind you that in addition to the tank coalition (which primarily includes Leopard-2 tanks plus Challengers, and Leopard-1s will arrive a little later), we are waiting for Abrams. But I don't think Abrams will take part in this counter-offensive. But our crews have already left for training," the defence minister said.
According to him, Ukraine currently has a fairly large number of armoured vehicles.
"The equipment itself has been announced, prepared and partially delivered. And there is equipment that is completing training programmes, and then the crews will stay with it when the time and place is determined. In a global sense, we are ready," Reznikov said.
He noted that the decision on the date and place of the counter-offensive will be made by the General Staff. The minister also added that he was not allowed to disclose details, as the Russians are also monitoring the Ukrainian information space.
