Summit in Vilnius should build Ukraine’s path to NATO, - Latvian Foreign Minister Rinkēvičs

Latvia will support Ukraine on its way to joining the North Atlantic Alliance.

This was stated by Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs at a briefing in Odesa, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to Ukrinform.

"We are looking forward to the summit in Vilnius. I believe that this will be a meeting where we have to find options to support Ukraine not only with equipment and weapons, but also to build Ukraine's path to the Alliance," Rinkēvičs said.

The minister also said that Latvia would help rebuild Odesa and support Ukraine with investments.

In addition to Rinkēvičs , the briefing was attended by Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark Lars Lykke Rasmussen, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Estonia Margus Tahkna, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iceland Thordis Kolbrun Reikfjord, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Norway Anniken Witfeldt, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Tobias Bilstrom and Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland Kai Sauer.
