Zelensky on provision of fighter jets to Ukraine: Soon we will have offensive actions, after them we will be given planes

President Volodymyr Zelensky is sure that Ukraine will receive Western fighter jets, but for this it is necessary to show success on the battlefield.
He stated this during a press conference with the President of Finland Sauli Niiniste, Censor.NET reports.
"As for whether we need planes. I've said it many times without any secrets, I can say it again. We need them, we really need them. Will we have them and why do I believe that we will ... I'm sure. But that's how it happens this war, that we must constantly prove it on the battlefield. First we go forward, show that in three days we cannot be captured, then they give us some weapons. After that we go forward again, ask for long-range artillery, it happens in different ways.
Again we have a difficult success, but nevertheless we are given a suitable weapon after that. Why I'm sure we'll have airplanes. Because soon we will have offensive actions. And after them, I am sure, they will give us planes," the president said.
Zelensky said that he would like it to be the other way around.
"But there are people like me and we are grateful for everything," he added.
