The past day was difficult for the energy system of Ukraine. The enemy launched massive rocket and artillery fire along the entire front line.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of "Ukrenergo".

"Unfortunately, our colleagues from "Khersonoblenergo" were killed yesterday while performing work. We sympathize with the families and colleagues of the victims and share their pain," the company reminds.

According to "Ukrenergo", the equipment of distribution system operators (oblenergo) in the Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions suffered the greatest damage. Highway networks did not suffer any new damage.

"In Kherson, more than 6,000 consumers were cut off due to rocket fire during the day. In the Sumy region, artillery shelling has been ongoing since the evening along the entire border line with the Russian Federation. Where the security situation allows, emergency and restoration work is ongoing," the report says.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, electricity supply to about 15,000 consumers, which was interrupted due to night shelling, has been restored. In the Donetsk region, the power supply of domestic consumers in the city of Toretsk, which was cut off due to repeated shelling, has been restored.

At midnight, the enemy launched a rocket attack on a power generation facility in the Donetsk region - the equipment was damaged and about 186,000 consumers were cut off. In the morning, the electricity supply to all consumers in these regions was restored.

Despite all the losses and damages, the energy system of Ukraine continues to work in a balanced way, there is no shortage of electricity.

Hydroelectric power plants and power plants from renewable energy sources are actively operating, which compensates for the decrease in the share of thermal and nuclear power plants.
