Attempts to humiliate the Armed Forces of Ukraine are an important part of Russian propaganda, and such attempts become more frequent the more often the Kremlin suffers defeats at the front.
This was stated by Stanislav Zharyn, the Commissioner of the Polish Government for the Security of the Information Space, Censor.NET reports with reference to LigaBusinessInform.
Zharyn noted that since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Russian propaganda has tried to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and that this was an important part of the war for the Kremlin.
"The analysis of this direction suggests that Russia is strengthening such a vector in response to events on the front line," he noted.
For example, the strengthening of such propaganda in recent months "became a reaction to the successes of the Ukrainian army, in particular the attacks in Crimea occupied by Russia, the fighting around Energodar or the counteroffensive in Bakhmut."
According to Zharyn, this propaganda is designed to undermine the fighting spirit of Ukrainians and should "neutralize the successes of Ukrainian defenders, which are disadvantageous for Russia."
"Russia's efforts show how important information operations are in this war," emphasizes a representative of Poland's special services.
