Without withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine, there will be no talk of peace, - Scholz

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that the withdrawal of Russian troops is a necessary prerequisite for establishing peace in Ukraine.
Scholz said this at a joint briefing with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Berlin on Sunday, Censor.NET informs with reference to "Euro Integration".
"Ukraine is ready for peace, but Ukraine, quite understandably and justifiably, does not want this to mean some kind of freezing of the war and dictates from Russia. It is an imperialist, aggressive attack on Ukrainian territory, and therefore the peace and security of Europe are under threat" - Scholz said.
He emphasized that it is necessary to talk about peace, based on the peace proposal of the Ukrainian president.
"But Russia must withdraw its troops, because without that there is nothing to talk about at all," Scholz added.
Earlier, Scholz confirmed that Germany will support Ukraine as long as necessary.
