Extension of "grain deal" is good news for whole world, - UN Secretary General Guterres
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the 60-day extension of the agreement allowing for the safe export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.
This is stated by Censor.NЕТ with reference to Іnterfax-Ukraine.
"The extension is good news for the whole world," Guterres told reporters.
At the same time, he noted that there are still unresolved issues that Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN will continue to discuss.
"Looking to the future, we hope that food and fertilizer exports, including ammonia, from the Russian Federation and Ukraine will be able to enter global supply chains safely and predictably," the UN Secretary-General said.
As a reminder, the grain deal was extended until July 18.
