Security guarantees for Ukraine will be signed at NATO summit in July, - Duda
NATO membership is not currently under consideration, but the US and European allies can provide Kyiv with weapons and advanced technology guarantees
Polish President Andrzej Duda said this in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Censor.NET reports.
"The Israeli-style security agreement on Ukraine will give priority to arms transfers and advanced technologies," the Polish president said.
According to Western officials involved in the negotiations, the document will facilitate Ukraine's future membership in NATO, but not
"Discussions on this issue are ongoing right now," Duda said.
He added that US President Joe Biden, who visited Poland in February 2023, also discussed the concept of the Israeli model. This model is based on the Kyiv Security Treaty and is gaining popularity among Western allies. It is expected to be discussed by NATO leaders at the alliance's summit in July in the Lithuanian capital.
