Ukraine receives two more armored demining vehicles Wisent 1 from Germany
Germany hands over two more Wisent 1 armored demining vehicles to Ukraine.
This is reported by the website of the German government, іnforms Censor.NЕТ with reference to LIGА.
The list of military aid already provided by Berlin has been updated with the following:
→ four Wisent 1 armored engineering demining vehicles (two were previously delivered)
→ 23 8x8 HX81 tractors and 18 semi-trailers (21/16 were previously delivered)
→ 108 Zetros trucks (92 trucks were previously delivered).
The Wisent 1 is an armored engineer demining vehicle based on a modified hull of the Leopard 1 main battle tank with the turret removed. The main task of the Wisent 1 is to make passages in the minefield. It automatically marks the mined area so that infantrymen can pass through it. Typically, such vehicles have a demining width of 2.5 to 2.6 meters.
