Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez spoke in Verkhovna Rada and announced new aid package worth 55 million euros (updated)
Spain will allocate 55 million euros to Ukraine to finance small and medium-sized enterprises and to provide schools with ecologically clean energy systems.
As Censor.NET informs, people's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak informed about this on Telegram.
"This is already his second visit and speech in the Council. The last time he was with us on February 23 of this year," Zheleznyak recalled.
As reported by El Mundo. Sanchez noted that Spain, as the EU chairman, will support the Ukrainian people.
"Today, July 1, Spain assumes the great responsibility of presiding over the Council of the European Union for the next six months," he said.
Sanchez emphasized that Ukraine can count on long-term support from Spain. He announced the allocation of a new aid package worth 55 million euros.
"I wanted to tell you that we are with you and we will be as long as it takes. I wanted to tell you that we will support Ukraine, regardless of the price," the prime minister said.
"Today, Spain decided to allocate an additional 55 million euros, including 51 million euros through the World Bank Group, to finance small and medium-sized enterprises of Ukraine, as well as 4 million euros through the United Nations Development Program to provide schools in Ukraine with environmentally friendly and sustainable energy systems ", Sanchez said.
He emphasized that the reconstruction of Ukraine will require time and investments in many sectors. Spain seeks to accompany Ukraine in some areas, such as, for example, railway infrastructure, in which Spanish companies have certain know-how.
