"The 498th day of Russia's large-scale armed aggression against our country continues. The enemy is focusing its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka directions - 20 combat engagements took place over the last day.
Last night Russia launched missile attacks on Ukraine, using 10 Kalibr cruise missiles, 7 of which were destroyed by anti-aircraft missile units and air force aviation, 3 Kalibr missiles hit the city of Lviv. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks on Lviv, unfortunately, 5 civilians were killed and more than 35 were injured of varying severity, more than 35 houses, more than 250 apartments, 10 dormitories, an orphanage, two higher education institutions, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged and destroyed.
In addition, the enemy launched 41 air strikes and fired 42 multiple rocket launcher systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. In particular, the Russian army fired at civilian settlements in Kherson and Kharkiv regions.
The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine. Units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which were trained at training grounds in Belarus, continue to move to the territory of Russia.
The enemy maintains military presence in the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions. It conducted an air strike near Hatyshche, Kharkiv region. During the day, he fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 15 settlements, in particular, in the areas of Stari Vyrky, Iskryskivka, Katerynivka, Zapsil in Sumy region, and Cherneshchyna, Odnorobivka, and Hoptivka in Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, our troops are holding steadfastly. Krasne Pershne, Figolivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, and Kyslivka in Kharkiv region came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attempted to force our troops out of their positions near Bilohorivka and Karmazynivka in the Luhansk region, but failed. He carried out air strikes near Karmazynivka and Nevske in the Luhansk region and Terny, Ivanivka, and Fedorivka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 localities came under artillery fire, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Verkhnekamianske, Berestove Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, under heavy fire from enemy aircraft and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Ivanivske and Bila Hora. The enemy launched an air strike near Ivanivske in the Donetsk region. At the same time, our soldiers continue to conduct offensive operations south and north of the city of Bakhmut, consolidating their positions. More than 15 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Oleksandr-Shultine, Bila Hora and Diliyivka in Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive in the vicinity of Pervomaiske, Donetsk region. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Novokalynove and Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. At the same time, the enemy shelled more than 10 localities, including Keramik, Zhelane, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Pervomayske, and Karlivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Mariinka direction, under artillery fire, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the vicinity of the town of Mariinka. The occupants launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region. The enemy fired at more than 10 localities, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Hostrye, Mariinka and Pobeda in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. He conducted an air strike near Vuhledar. It fired at more than 15 localities.
At the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops. He fired artillery at more than 30 settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Yehorivka, Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia region; Zmiivka, Antonivka, Pryozerne in Kherson region and the city of Kherson. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations at the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidate their positions, inflict artillery fire on the identified enemy targets, and carry out counter-battery measures.
The Russian occupiers cynically continue to violate international humanitarian law and use children's institutions in the temporarily occupied settlements to deploy their troops, using the civilian population as human shields. Thus, in the village of Novopetrivka, Berdiansk district, Zaporizhzhia region, on the territory of the Vesna children's sanatorium, Russian military personnel have set up a military base with more than 800 Russian soldiers and Russian military equipment in close proximity to the homes of local residents. And in the village of Chumakivka, Kherson region, where the Russian occupiers have converted the Iva recreation center into a military commandant's office. Patriotic citizens of Ukraine are being interrogated and tortured there.
