Enemy is concentrating its efforts in five directions, 36 skirmishes per day, - General Staff
The five hundredth day of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our state has begun.
Tonight, the Russian Federation struck another blow with Iranian attack UAVs of the "Shahed" type on Ukraine. Information regarding the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified. This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the General Staff.
As noted, last day the Russian occupation forces also attacked the territory of Ukraine with Iranian attack drones "Shahed". 12 out of 18 of these UAVs were destroyed.
In addition, according to the General Staff, the enemy launched a missile attack on the territory of one of the Zaporizhzhia infrastructure facilities. Also, 53 airstrikes and about 60 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas were recorded. Unfortunately, the infrastructure was destroyed, and civilians suffered.
The probability of launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka directions. During the past day, 36 combat clashes took place.
In the Volyn and Poliske directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, during the day, the enemy carried out an airstrike in the area of Vilshana, Kharkiv region. It carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 15 settlements, in particular Popivka, Chernihiv region; Krasnopillia of Sumy re and Okip, Neskuchne, Vovchansk, Budarky, and Rublene in the Kharkiv region.
According to the General Staff, in the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried to advance in the Novoselyvske and Stelmakhivka districts of the Luhansk region. Our soldiers are firmly on the defensive, repelling all enemy attacks. Kolodiazne, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Masiutivka, Kupiansk, and Kyslivka of the Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted assaults during the day and tried to dislodge our troops from their occupied positions in the area northwest of Berestove, Luhansk region, without success. It carried out airstrikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Spirne in the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Vesele, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.
"In the direction of Bakhmut, under heavy fire from the enemy's aircraft and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled all enemy attacks in the area of Berkhivka settlement of Donetsk region. At the same time, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultine, Bila Hora settlements, Kurdiumivka, and Severne.
"More than 20 settlements, including Vasyukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultine, Bila Hora, and Diliivka of the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling," the message reads.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Novokalynovo, Avdiivka, and Nevelske. At the same time, artillery shelling of more than 15 settlements was recorded, including Keramik, Zhelane, Avdiivka, Severne, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske of the Donetsk region.
In the Mariinka direction, under enemy artillery fire, our defenders repelled all attacks in the area of the city of Mariinka. The enemy launched an airstrike near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region. It shelled the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, and Pobeda in the Donetsk region.
"On the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the Blahodatne district of the Donetsk region. It carried out an air strike near Veyka Novosilka. It shelled more than 15 settlements, including Novomykhailivka, Elizavetivka, Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, and Severne in the Donetsk region," the General Staff added.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing the further advance of our troops. Conducted artillery shelling of more than 30 settlements, including Novodariivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Zaporizhzhia regions; Lvove, Tokarivka, Antonivka, Veletenske, Kizomys of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson. At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, are entrenched at the reached boundaries, inflict fire damage, and carry out counter-battery countermeasures.
Over the past day, the aviation of the defense forces has struck 7 strikes on areas where enemy personnel are concentrated, 4 on anti-aircraft missile complexes, and 1 on the enemy's control point. Also, our defenders destroyed 2 operational-tactical reconnaissance UAVs.
During the day, units of missile forces and artillery hit 2 control points, an ammunition warehouse, 8 artillery pieces in firing positions, 2 anti-aircraft defense equipment, and 2 radio-electronic warfare stations of the enemy.
