After Xi Jinping’s visit to Putin, I told him: be careful - Biden
US President Joe Biden advised Chinese leader Xi Jinping to be careful in relations with Russia because China relies on Western investments.
Biden said this in an interview with CNN, Censor.NET reports with reference to Reuters.
"I said: it's not a threat. It's an observation," the US president said.
According to Biden, this conversation with Xi took place after he visited Moscow in March and had a meeting there with Russian President Putin.
"Since Russia invaded Ukraine, 600 American corporations left the Russian Federation. And you told me that your economy depends on investments from Europe and the United States. Be careful. Be careful," he recalled his conversations with the Chinese leader.
When asked what Xi told him about this, the US president said: "He listened and did not argue."
