High mortality rate of Russian military in Ukraine caused by inadequate medical care - British intelligence

The high mortality rate among Russian soldiers wounded in Ukraine is caused by inadequate medical care. Up to 50% of deaths could have been prevented.

As reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to RBC-Ukraine, this is stated in the report of the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom in Twitter.

As noted in the report, Russia has faced a crisis in military medical supplies. Thus, on average, approximately 400 people were injured every day for 17 months.

According to British intelligence, the influx of military personnel has likely undermined the normal provision of some Russian civilian medical services, especially in the border areas near Ukraine. It is likely that many specialized military hospitals are reserved for wounded officers.

According to the head of the Kalashnikov Company's combat medicine training department, it is likely that up to 50% of combat deaths could have been prevented with proper first aid.

"The very slow evacuation of the wounded, combined with the inappropriate use of the crude Russian combat tourniquet, is the main cause of preventable deaths and amputations," the British Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
