The two-day negotiations between the finance ministers of the G20 countries will end without a joint statement due to differences between the major powers regarding the war in Ukraine.

As reported by Censor.NET with reference to the EP, Reuters writes about it.

Indian officials said that most Western countries, including the United States, Great Britain, Germany, and France, insisted on strong condemnation of Russia and its war in Ukraine. However, Russia and its partner China opposed any such move.

At the same time, India, as the host of the meeting, was unable to prepare a final communique acceptable to all members.

According to an Indian official, some countries have insisted on calling the conflict a war, while Russia calls its war of aggression a "special military operation".

The meeting in the western state of Gujarat is the third financial meeting of the G20 under India's chairmanship of the 20-nation association.
