All conditions have been created to return Bakhmut, - Syrsky
The commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, believes that all the conditions have now been created for the recapture of Bakhmut, but with much lower losses.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the BBC.
"Bakhmut is the center of concentration of the main directions and roads. Well, for example, the road from Debaltseve, the road from Siversk, the road from Horlivka, the road from Kostiantynivka, and the road from Sloviansk goes through Bakhmut. That is, it is the center where all those roads converge.
Using the developed road network, Russian troops can advance in at least three such operational directions. In addition, in general, the area around Bakhmut is a concentration of various kinds of dominant heights, which allow you to control a large part of the area around, on the approaches to Bakhmut. This increases its role as a springboard for further offensive actions.
The next town, Chasiv Yar, begins literally three kilometers after Bakhmut. And here it is very important for us to stop the enemy in Bakhmut, who is there in the lowlands.
And I believe that it was a big mistake of "Wagner" when he completely climbed into Bakhmut, suffered, one might say, crazy losses in personnel. In fact, they have lost combat capability.
At this time, all conditions have been created for us to return to this city, but with ten times fewer losses.
Because in general, the location of Russian troops at the moment resembles such a bow, which is concentrated in Bakhmut. And they are in such a semi-environment. Well, you just can't help but use it," said Syrsky.
